Referral Program Terms

Who can earn credit

The referral reward is available to current or incoming GHL Financial Services clients who are individuals at least 18 years old, are legal U.S. residents, and have an active account in good standing. Because the reward is applied as account credit, a referrer must have a GHL account for the credit to be applied to. Owners, employees, and contractors of GHL Financial Services are not eligible to earn referral credit.

How credit is earned

You earn credit when someone you refer becomes a new, paying GHL client. To be eligible:

• The person you refer must be a new client — not yourself, a business or entity you own or control, or an existing or returning GHL client.
• Let us know about your referral, or have your referral name you, before their service begins. Credit is not applied retroactively.
• If you tell us in advance that you've referred someone, you'll still receive the credit as long as that person does not name a different referral source when they sign up. If they name a different source, that source is credited instead.
• Credit is applied only after GHL has received payment from the new client, and only after GHL confirms the referral in good faith.

Credit amounts

Credit is based on the service the new client signs up for:

One referrer, one credit per new client

Only one referring party is credited per new client. If a new client signs up for more than one service, the single highest applicable credit is given — credits are not combined or stacked.

Each new client counts separately

There is no limit on how many different people you may refer. You earn the applicable credit for each new client who qualifies.

Account credit only

Rewards are applied only as a credit to the referrer's GHL account. Credit has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, check, or any other form of payment, and is non-transferable. Credit may be applied only toward fees or invoices for GHL services. Any unused credit is forfeited if the referrer's account is closed or the referrer is no longer a GHL client, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

No self-referral, fraud, or abuse

You may not refer yourself, your own accounts, or a business or entity you own or control, and you may not create duplicate, false, or misleading accounts or referrals. GHL Financial Services may withhold, reduce, reverse, or cancel credit, and may suspend or remove a participant from the program, if it determines in good faith that a referral involves fraud, abuse, self-referral, duplicate submissions, misrepresentation, or any violation of these terms or applicable law.

Permission and privacy

By submitting a referral, you confirm that you have the referred person's permission to share their contact information with GHL Financial Services. GHL uses that information to contact the referred person about its services and handles it in accordance with its Privacy Policy. The referred person is under no obligation to respond or to become a client.

You are not acting for GHL

Participating in this program does not make you an employee, agent, or representative of GHL Financial Services. You may not make promises, guarantees, or statements on GHL's behalf, and you are responsible for describing GHL and this program truthfully and accurately.

Taxes on referral credit

Referral credit may be taxable to you. GHL Financial Services may be required to report referral rewards and may request a completed Form W-9 before applying or continuing credit. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to credit you receive. This is general information, not tax advice — consult your own tax advisor about your situation.

No professional relationship or guarantee

Referring someone to GHL, or receiving referral credit, does not create, change, or guarantee any professional engagement, service, outcome, or result. Professional services are provided only under a separate engagement and are governed by their own written terms.

Changes to the program

GHL may modify, pause, or end this program, or adjust credit amounts, at any time and for any reason permitted by law. Referrals already submitted and qualified before a change will be honored under the terms in effect when they were submitted. The program is offered only where permitted and is void where prohibited.

General

These terms supplement the GHL Financial Services Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. To the extent permitted by applicable law, GHL's determinations regarding eligibility, qualification, and credit are final. These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
