What members receive
Guides189 available
Each one dated with the law year it was written against and when it is next due for review, with what you would do, what GHL needs, and what usually goes wrong.
A personal Tax Planner estimate
Six short steps from the figures on your last return. An educational estimate, not a prepared return, and nobody at GHL has reviewed it until you ask.
My Plan, by whose move it is
What is yours to do, what to discuss with GHL, what is applied at filing, and what needs another professional — rather than one long to-do list.
Calculators
Paycheck, estimated tax, retirement contributions, loans and more, for the questions that come up between returns.
Templates44 available
Worksheets and logs you keep through the year, so the records exist before preparation rather than being rebuilt from memory.
Diagram Builder
Draw who owns what — people, companies and assets — and export it as a PDF or image to share with a tax professional or attorney.
Saved items and Learning Paths
Keep the guides you come back to, file them in collections, and follow a short sequence through a subject.
What it looks like

Read one guide in full
One guide from the Academy, exactly as a member sees it — the diagram, what you would do, what GHL needs and what usually goes wrong.
Read the sample guideWho it is for
- Individuals past a basic returnInvestments, a rental, a home office, retirement withdrawals, or a year that changed.
- Business ownersSole proprietors, S corporations and C corporations: owner pay, records and the business return.
- PartnersPartners in a partnership that files Form 1065, and what the partnership return needs from its books.
- Trustees and fiduciariesThe bookkeeping and tax reporting side of administering a trust — the trust's own return included.
What it is not
- Not a prepared return. The Tax Planner is an educational estimate from the figures you enter.
- Not legal advice. GHL prepares returns and keeps books; it does not draft trust or legal documents.
- Not a replacement for professional review. Whether something applies to you is settled with GHL, on your own facts.
- Does not begin paid work. Asking GHL about a guide starts a conversation, not an engagement.

Questions
What do I get access to?
Everything in the Academy that has been released: the guides, videos, calculators, templates, the Tax Planner, My Plan and the Diagram Builder. New guides appear as they are published. Some trust material is shown only to members GHL has set up as trust clients.
How does billing work, and how do I cancel?
$599 a year, billed annually through Stripe. Cancel any time from your account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal.
What happens to figures I enter in the Tax Planner?
They are saved to your profile so the planner opens where you left it. GHL can see what you save, but saving it does not ask GHL to review it. Nothing is filed anywhere, and you can delete it from the planner or your account page at any time.
Is this the same as working with GHL?
No. The Academy is education: how rules work, what to keep, and what to ask. Advice on your own situation, preparing your return and any other work are GHL's professional services, agreed separately.
I am already a GHL client. Do I need to subscribe?
Existing GHL clients may already have access included. Sign in or ask GHL before subscribing.
